 Itinerary (cotinued)

Breaking out of Brooklyn is a two part tour. The first half consists of Sam and Michael biking on a north western route through Cleveland, Chicago, and beyond to the upper Midwest.

Throughout this part of the journey they’ll be focusing a lot on nature and the passing through of small towns as they cross the approximate 3,500 miles of America in a route plotted to Seattle. On the way, they'll get to see such marvelous attractions as the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, and by the end, way too much of the Rockies.

From Seattle the pair turns south along the coast, sometimes on a more urban course, stopping in Portland, San Francisco, Santa Barbra, but not missing out on the tremendous Redwoods and a day or so among the watery cliffs of Big Sur.

For Sam, Los Angeles marks the end of his journey. After a day or so of recuperation the two will bid each other a fine farewell as Sam flies back to Brooklyn along with Bob (his trailer) and his bike and Michael continues onward heading east by bicycle.

Leaving, LA, Michael's next stop is a quick foray into Vegas before setting his sights on the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.

Continuing on through the desert, he'll hit “civilization”

(as if you could ever leave it in these time, ha!) again at Albuquerque.

From there, he’ll swoop South down to El Paso, and onto Austin and Houston. With Texas out of the way comes New Orleans after Baton Rouge, for a nice rest, before plowing on through Mobile into Florida.

He’ll work his way East and then South through Orlando, finally reaching Miami and hopefully a day or two of rest for some skydiving lessons. Well rested, he'll turn North again and work his way up the coast, namely to Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston (visit his brother Patrick for a couple), Raleigh, Richmond, DC, and Philadelphia before making the last push back to Bklyn.

Whew!! We're tired just talking about it.

Well, there you have it. Michael does have a small deadline to be back for his cousin’s wedding, but if he hasn’t finished in time, he's prepared to fly back from one of his safe house cities where he'll leave the gear and return to finish the journey.

If anyone wants to take bets on how far we’ll get, we understand. If we really still cared, we’d think this was crazy too, but we don’t, so you can go ahead and put us each down for a fifty to finish this bitch to the maybe bitter, but hopefully rejuvenating, end!
